CONNECTING PEOPLE TO JESUS

our story

In April of 2006, Pastor Alex Ennes along with his wife Shari launched Gateway Church Downtown in Cleveland. Pastor Alex started Gateway with the goal of planting multiple churches in the Greater Cleveland area.

In the spring of 2013, a small group from that original downtown church was prayerfully sent out with plans to plant a new west side church. That group was the beginning of what would eventually become Gateway Church, North Ridgeville.

For two years, we met in multiple temporary locations including in the movie theater at Crocker Park in Westlake. In 2015, we were graciously gifted a church building and property in North Ridgeville (formally North Ridgeville Baptist Church). We have been worshiping, serving, and growing here ever since!

In the summer of 2018, leadership transitioned from Pastor Alex to Pastor Dan Ghramm (a former pastor in the Gateway Cleveland Network).

We love our story! It serves as a reminder of God’s presence and provision. There’s more to our history than can be shared in this brief space. Join us for a Get to Know Gateway meeting with Pastor Dan to get all of the details!

Our mission

Connecting People to Jesus

As Christians, we are living testimonies of how lives are changed by the truth and hope of the gospel. At Gateway, it is our mission to share the gospel message of Jesus with the world both near and far. We strive to do this through a framework of: Knowing God, Living in Community, Making Disciples and Changing the World.

What we believe

Our core beliefs are found in the Baptist Faith and Message of 2000.

Our Leadership

The Bible teaches that every believer has a role to play within the body. At Gateway, we follow the Leadership Pipeline strategy which focuses on maximizing individual strengths while implementing multiple levels of accountability. To this end, we have various levels of leadership (Pastors, Elders, Senior Leadership Team, Ministry Directors and Ministry Partners). Each level is accountable to the others and meets frequently to discuss church administration and where God is leading us.

Dan Ghramm

Lead Pastor and Cleveland Area Church Planting Catalyst for the Send Network

Pastor Dan has been the Lead Pastor of Gateway since 2018. Dan specializes in church planting, teaching, and community involvement. He has a Bachelor of Science in Bible/Pastoral Ministry from Baptist Bible College and a Master of Divinity from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. He has served as Pastor of Discipleship Ministries, Church Planter/Pastor, and as the Church Planting Catalyst for NAMB since 2016.

Dan has a passion for helping people reach their God-ordained potential. His ongoing mission for Gateway is to encourage the church to be invested in connecting people to Jesus, meeting the needs of the community, and making disciples who become life long followers of Jesus Christ.

Dan and his wife Amanda live in North Ridgeville where they stay extra busy raising their five children (Elijah, Malia, Jacob, Joshua and Sophia).
